Key Responsibilities:
1. Audio Setup and Operation: Set up and operate audio equipment including microphones, speakers, mixers, amplifiers, and related peripherals to ensure optimal sound quality during events.
2. Technical Support: Provide technical support during events, troubleshooting audio issues promptly to minimise disruptions and ensure a smooth event experience.
3. Sound Mixing and Balancing: Perform sound mixing and balancing tasks to achieve desired audio levels, clarity, and consistency throughout the event space.
4. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and inspect audio equipment regularly, ensuring proper functionality and addressing any maintenance or repair needs to uphold quality standards.
5. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the events team, production teams, and other technical staff to understand audio requirements and execute sound designs that align with event objectives.
6. Adaptability: Adapt to changing event requirements and environments, remaining flexible and proactive in addressing unforeseen challenges to deliver exceptional audio experiences.
7. Video Support: Recalling camera presets, Apple Keynotes, Video production during a live event
8. Video Editing: Weekly keynotes/powerpoint updated for board members to run a townhall style event
Candidate Requirements:
1. Experience: Proven experience as a Sound Technician in live music event settings. Yamaha CL & QL experience preferred.
2. Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating a wide range of audio equipment such as mixers, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, and audio interfaces, setting a Live band or artists to their liking
3. Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve audio-related technical issues under pressure.
4. Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with event organisers, production teams, and other stakeholders to understand audio requirements and deliver optimal solutions.
5. Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail in sound mixing, balancing, and equipment setup to ensure high-quality audio output and a seamless event experience.
6. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing event dynamics and requirements, remaining composed and resourceful in high-pressure situations.
7. Team Player: Strong team player with a proactive and collaborative attitude, willing to assist colleagues and contribute to the overall success of events.
Experience, Education and Certifications:
• A minimum of 3-5 years live event experience
• 2 Years experience with Yamaha CL & QL Series
• Leading the sound set up for a live music event is advantageous
