This position reports to a Technical Supervisor, Technical Manager, Technical Events Manager, or Senior Project Manager, depending on the structure of the function or region.
Key Job Responsibilities
Equipment Operation
• Configure and set up standard Video Control Switching systems (Barco E2/S3)
• Understand and configure video signal distribution systems (Lightware, Blackmagic, Birddog, Decimator Design)
• Rigging and alignment of multiple projection systems, utilising manual adjustment and software control
• Configure, build, and repair LED screens and associated control processors (Absen / GLUX / Novastar COEX)
• Understand network infrastructure and protocols for signal and control (VLAN management, IPMX, NDI, etc.)
• Lead teams as Head of Department (HOD) on installations and de-rigs, ensuring clear communication and leadership
• Ensure accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of intermediate audiovisual equipment
• Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems quickly
• Comply with all company security and safety measures
• Ensure equipment is secure from theft and/or damage when in use
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE
• Report all health and safety issues to the HSE Manager or appropriate onsite Manager
Customer Service
• Deliver World Class Service by exceeding the expectations of internal and external customers
• Act as a leader, mentor, and coach for other Technicians in line with the Delivering World Class Service philosophy
• Maintain positive client relationships through effective communication
• Meet with guests onsite to ensure needs are met and equipment is functioning correctly
• Monitor events and check in with customers throughout the day
• Understand and foster strong hotel/client relationships
Technical Ability
• Demonstrate advanced operational ability and problem solving skills with equipment and software issues
• Anticipate equipment challenges and changes in a timely and professional manner
• Use department planning software to design systems and schematics for upcoming projects (Easyjob, Vectorworks, Lucidchart)
Systems Knowledge
• Follow company processes, procedures, and systems accurately
• Use equipment sheets to confirm equipment required for setup and strike
• Liaise with internal teams and external vendors regarding equipment
• Increase revenue by utilising floor-up selling techniques
• Work within relevant systems and applications as required

Job Qualifications
• High school diploma or GCSE equivalent
• 2–3+ years of customer service or hospitality experience (preferred)
• 2–3+ years of audio visual experience (required)
