Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Development Manager with a focus on building strong relationships, identifying new market opportunities, and driving sales within the film and HETV production industry. The ideal candidate will possess “hunter” qualities, with a passion for developing new business and negotiating deals, while balancing the commercial objectives of the company with the needs of our clients. You will be responsible for managing key accounts, expanding our market reach, and ensuring customer satisfaction through strong negotiation and problem-solving skills. No two jobs are the same and the role requires a tailored approach every time to ensure we deliver the very best service.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Development & Account Management:
o Actively seek out and develop new business opportunities within the film HETV and broadcast space.
o Manage and grow existing accounts by understanding their evolving needs and providing tailored solutions.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs through proactive sales activities and effective relationship management.
Market Expansion & Networking:
o Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with both senior key production members and upcoming junior members, plus on set crew.
o Identify and pursue new market opportunities, both within existing sectors and untapped areas.
o Attend industry events, trade shows, and production network gatherings to build a robust industry presence.
o Conduct regular competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and gaps in the market.
Negotiation & Commercial Acumen:
o Lead negotiations with clients to close deals that meet both customer needs and company objectives.
o Strive to ensure client satisfaction while balancing the commercial needs of the business.
o Manage pricing and proposals to maintain profitability while offering competitive value to clients.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support:
o Work closely with the operations, customer service, and technical teams to ensure client requirements are met effectively and efficiently.
o Share market insights and customer feedback with relevant departments to enhance service offerings and improve business processes.
o Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop tailored solutions that align with client expectations and business goals.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring:
o Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and opportunities.
o Report on sales progress, challenges, and market developments regularly to senior management.
o Ensure compliance with all sales processes and guidelines.
Key Attributes:
Proven Sales Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a sales and marketing role, preferably within the film, TV, or broadcast, or technical solutions industries.
Strong Negotiator: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to balance client satisfaction with business needs.
Relationship-Focused: A genuine passion for building and nurturing strong, long-term client relationships.
Self-Starter & Hunter Mentality: Highly motivated to actively seek out new business opportunities and drive revenue growth.
